Q: What is Honeydew?
A: Honeydew is a type of melon that is commonly consumed in drinks, as a breakfast fruit, or added into salads. They originated in the middle east before spreading into Europe. Columbus himself brought Honeydew melon seeds to the United States and now they are a common item at grocery stores and restaurants.

They are similar in size to a cantaloupe, but have a waxy smooth exterior similar to watermelon and typically weigh about five pounds. They are normally about 90% water, and have a low sodium and calorie count, which makes them a great option for people watching their weight. Even better, the entire melon can be eaten. In conclusion, now they  are popular as a breakfast fruit, in salads, or blended into drinks.
